EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES CHAMPIONSHIPS 2025

The Opening Ceremony of the European Universities Football Championship took place on 27th July in Camerino at Borgesca Fortess. The Ceremony was attended by Stefano Belardinelli OC President and Federcusi Delegate, Graziano Leoni Rector of the University of Camerino, Roberto Lucarelli Mayor of the City of Camerino, Francis Cirianni Eusa Delegate, Gianluca Pasqui vice President of the Regional Assembly and Laura Lunetta member of the National Olympic Committee, that welcomed all participants.
EUSA Executive Committee Francis Cirianni welcomed all participants too and wished all the teams and participants who came to test their skills and abilities well ahead of the start of the competition, while also thanking the Organising Committee for all their contributions.
The competition is organised by Federcusi and the University of Camerino with the contribution of the City of Camerino, the Marche Region and all the other local authorities.
The Organizing Committee has a decades long experience in organizing important local, national and international sport events: in 2004 and 2023 the National Universities Championships, in 2008 and 2015 the European Universities Volleyball Championship and in 2019 the European Universities Table Tennis Championship.
Championship will take place from 27 July to 3 August in Camerino.
EUSA is represented by Francis Cirianni and the Technical Delegates are Andreas Demetriou and Ignacio Peralta Contrera. They will make sure that the event will run smoothly and without problems. The Competition will host 15 men teams and 11 women teams from as many as 21 universities from 14 countries.
The title of European Universities Football Champion is defended by the University of Wurzburg Germany for the men’s competition and by the University of Bordeaux France for the women’s championship.
The championship is soaring, with fans, teams, and organizers setting high expectations. This year's tournament promises intense rivalries, tactical brilliance, and emotional highs and lows. Teams are expected to bring their best, with seasoned players showcasing experience and rising stars proving their worth. Spectators are looking forward to competitive matches, stunning goals, and moments of individual brilliance that define legacies. The pressure is palpable—not just to win, but to inspire, entertain, and uphold the spirit of the game.
