The EUSA 2025 football competitions are about to begin!
This year, the city of Camerino will host the European University Football Championships, with a total of 26 teams participating, 15 men's and 11 women's.
The men's teams from the University of Zagreb (Croatia), the University of Ostrava (Czech Republic), the University of Jyvaskyla (Finland), the University of Montpellier (France), the University of Rouen (France), the University of Munich (Germany), the University of Würzburg (Germany), the Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy), the University of Camerino (Italy), the University of Porto (Portugal), the University of Timișoara (Romania), Pompeu Fabra University (Spain), the University of Granada (Spain), the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) and Ege University in Turkey will compete in 11-a-side football matches.
The 7-a-side football competition will feature teams from the University of Zagreb (Croatia), the University of Lille (France), the University of Montpellier (France), the University of Frankfurt (Germany), the University of Würzburg (Germany), the University of Camerino (Italy), the University of Groningen (Netherlands), the University of Gdansk (Poland), the University of Aveiro (Portugal), the University of Granada (Spain) and, lastly, Pavlo Tychyna Uman State (Ukraine).
On 27 July, the General Technical Meeting (GTM) will be held at 3 p.m. in UNICAM's Law Department, where EUSA technicians will present the activities and draw lots to decide which teams will compete during the competition. This will be followed by the opening ceremony at the Borgesca Fortress, where the teams from the 13 countries participating in the tournament will parade.
The competitions will begin on Monday 28 July and end with the finals on Sunday 3 August, after which there will be an award ceremony for the winning teams in both the men's and women's competitions. Immediately afterwards, the closing ceremony of the event will take place at the Livio Luzi stadium.
